With over 20 years of experience in clinical Ayurveda, Dr Zankhana is a gold
medalist at Gujarat Ayurved University. She graduated magna cum laude from Shri
Gulab Kunverba Ayurved Mahavidhyalaya and holds an MD in Kayachikitsa
(Ayurveda Internal Medicine) from IPGTRA, Jamnagar. Her work experience spans
integrative oncology roles at Samarpan General Hospitals, Kasturba Health Society,
and SL Raheja Hospital, providing her a robust foundation in the field.Since 2012, Dr.
Zankhana has led AyurVAID’s Integrated Cancer Rehabilitation Program (ICRP),
focusing on palliative care for primary and metastatic cancers. This program
integrates classical Ayurveda with conventional cancer treatments to alleviate
chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiotherapy side effects, enhancing patients'
quality of life and functional health.A proponent of translational research, Dr.
Zankhana emphasizes integrative oncology and metabolic syndrome. Her clinical
outcomes in managing Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Dyslipidemia, and Fatty
Liver have been groundbreaking. She excels in patient communication, ensuring
clarity and confidence in her interactions, and her care extends across age groups,
from pediatric to geriatric patients.Dr. Zankhana’s dedication has earned her the
Jeevaka Award by Himalaya Health Care Company for academic excellence in
BAMS (2003) and a special prize in MD Kayachikitsa by IPGTRA (2007). She is a
member of the Society of Integrative Oncology (SIO), Indian Association of Palliative
Care (IAPC), ASCO, and ESMO. As Principal Investigator for the AYUSH EMR
COVID-19 Prophylaxis project (PRASACT), she contributed significantly to research.on Ayurveda prophylaxis for COVID-19 in healthcare workers.. Dr. Zankhana
